July Club Run - Sunday 20th - Moray Coast Meander

The plan is to take a gentle run through Moray with stops at Findhorn, Lossiemouth and Pluscarden. Assembling at the Culloden Battlefield carpark on the B9006 at about 10 o'clock for a 10.30 am departure

The route will take us through Cawder & Auldearn before skirting past Forres
and cutting down to our first stop at Findhorn where the plan is to have lunch at the Bakehouse around noon.
After lunch we can park up at the Findhorn Community for a look around some interesting housing styles and their impressive shop. Leaving the Community we follow the minor roads along the coast to Lossiemouth where we can park up on the esplanade and, weather permitting, take some time on the beach or sample some of the town’s excellent ice cream.
After Lossiemouth we turn back towards Elgin before cutting inland to Dallas Dhu and Pluscarden. The final stop is at Pluscarden Abbey, an impressive building well worth a walk round. From here it will be homeward bound in your own time.
Route maps will be available at the start of the run

Watch this space and the Club Newsletter for more information on the route and program for the day.

The above club event is not planned as any form of time trial, race or competition, but only as a social outing of like-minded enthusiasts. Please observe speed limits and if travelling together, leave plenty of space between you and the car in front to allow faster traffic to overtake. Likewise, if you are causing a build up of traffic behind you, please pull over to allow queues to clear. It is important that we show consideration to other road users. It is your responsibility to ensure that your vehicle is roadworthy, insured, licensed, MOT’d and has all the relevant documentation.

August Club Run - Sunday 24th - Barbecue at Mountblairy, near Turriff

Once again Gordon invites us all to a BBQ at his house on Sunday 24th August. For those who have not yet witnessed Gordon’s hospitality this really is one not to miss — loads of food, great scenery and good company.
We will follow the same tried and tested route as the last couple of years - meeting at the Thistle Hotel, Inverness (between the Millburn roundabout and the Raigmore Interchange) at 09.30 am for a 10.00 am start. Then it’s down the A96 through Nairn, Forres, Elgin and on to Fochabers, stopping for a coffee and
browse around at Baxters of Speyside. We will then take the A98 to Cullen and Portsoy, before heading
inland to Gordons for about 1.00pm. A route map will be issued on the day.
There will be a charge of £5 per head to cover all the food and soft drinks, any surplus will go to club funds.

Watch this space and the Club Newsletter for more information on the route and program for the day.

Members Motors

The Members Motor page which can be accessed from the.Gallery. page of the website is rather short of entries. If you would like to display your car on the page, send your photos with a brief history of your car,  a history of your involvement in MG ownership, or just a short story to accompany the picture. Send your entries as an email with a photo file attachment or bring them to the next meeting. If neither of these methods are convenient to you post the photo and the words to any of the committee members who will forward them on. Photographs can be returned once they have been copied.
